Thursday’s Barks And Bytes~Couple Of Thank You’s

I have a long over due thank you that goes out to Sugar The Golden Retriever and Larry Kay the author of Life’s A BARK. I won this book back in June and finally I had time to read it. I don’t know why I didn’t find the time earlier to read it as it is a excellent book about how dogs can teach us about life and love if we just listen to them. This book made me think after a bad hunt test weekend, I would read it and then it would make me smile. It put failing hunt tests with Gambler into perspective. It comes with some really beautiful pictures of dogs.

Gambler I have a book I want to show you.

Larry Kay wrote this book Life’s A BARK, what dogs teach us about life and love.

Before I sit down and read it to you I will stretch.

The book is filled with many ways dogs can teach humans about life and love.

It comes with many beautiful photos, maybe we are in here?

It came with a beautifully hand written note right from Larry himself.

A light easy read that leave you thinking and learning how to deal with life and love.

Thank you Sugar for hosting the giveaway and to Larry for giving away this great book.

Next I would like to thank Sue over at Talking-Dogs for hosting the give away of Jan Dunlap’s book Saved by Gracie. I was much faster at getting started on reading this book. I took it with me to a hunt test last weekend and finished it in one day. It had me tearing up in the beginning, middle and end. I couldn’t put this book down. Dogs truly are amazing creatures that help us out in so many ways.

    Hi Y’all!

My Human agrees…if y’all just listen…but she adds that horses can teach you as much as dogs…but you have to listen to what we’re sayin’! Some people don’t hear oro don’t want to hear or just plain don’t understand or think we don’t know anything!

    Y’all come by now,

Glory that’s great that you read sucha wonderful book to Gambler. Hope you both liked it. I think both books are a great read for all who love dogs and who can’t imagine a life without them.

Mom isn’t a big fan of reading, so it sometimes takes her months and months to get a book read. For you especially with all the summer dog stuff going on, no wonder it took a while to find the time.

Sounds like two great reads, thanks for sharing and thank you for joining the blog hop. I know it’s hard but try not to get too down on yourself and G-Man, I imagine hunt tests can be very confusing.

They both sound like great books! I wish I had more time for reading. Before the blog I used to read a book a weekend, now I read mostly blogs instead. 🙂 I did just finish a good book though, and need to get a review written for it.
