June – Adoptable senior female Chessie
June is an 11 year old Chessie/Lab mix who came into rescue in dire need of medical treatment. She was blind in one eye due to Glaucoma, and upon checking pressures in that eye, it was determined she was most likely in great pain, with the high pressures causing major headaches. June also was in extreme need of a dental-and needed to have 6 teeth removed, one surgically. June also has many fatty tumors, but upon aspiration, they have been determined to be just that, fatty tumors. June had surgery to remove the bad eye, and has had to have a second surgery due to possible allergic problems with the internal stitches.
June loves to be covered on her bed and nap.
June is a sweetheart. She loves everyone and is great with all other dogs. She spends a lot of her day taking naps, is so good in the house I sometimes forget she is here. She is completely trustworthy to be left alone at home, and sleeps on her bed in our bedroom all night. She loves to go for rides, and is not a barker at all. June would make a great companion for a senior or a senior couple, as she really doesn’t require much exercise at all. She would even make a great apartment dog if there is an elevator.
June is current on all of her vaccines, spayed, and has her microchip. She is Heart Worm negative and is on preventative. Please consider a senior dog-they are the best-and this one is a great dog.

You aren’t too far from us (we live in Colorado)!
Please don’t give up, June. While Mommy didn’t know I was a special needs cat as a kitten, I have developed many health conditions, and she’s taken wonderful care of me through them all! Hers really loves me! I have faith that a very special human will love you just like my mommy loves me!
