What??? Mischief while walking your dog??? No Way!!!
Yes way when it comes to the Sand Spring Gang!
Last week we finally got off our butts, hooked up the leashes, three to be exact and headed off for a walk. We headed down the road on a nice walk to the river…..
When we turn the corner and come upon our brother-in-laws house we see this on the side of the road that we had to pass by…..
I did all I could do to drag the dogs past and then we ran into this……
Nellie was telling big stories to Rosco as I dragged her by, Gambler and Glory thought it was a playmate. We finished our walk to the river where…..
Gambler found something to roll in at the river, all of them found a carcass to eat on and carry the bones back with them. They thought it was a great walk.
A couple days later we grabbed the leashes again and headed off in a different direction. This direction consisted of walking up one big hill through the woods. It was a damp dreary day but be braved it and off we went.
When all of a sudden out of no where’s this appeared…..
All the dogs were pulling and trying to run to chase the squirrel I thought to myself with all the weight of three dogs I (130#) was trying to hold back 210# of dogs. That is a whole lot of weight if you ask me!
We continued on our walk and then on the way back home we stopped at the creek and had a little fun under the bridge.
We had a great couple of days of walking, hopefully there will be more to come with no mischief attached.

to meet 3 cats, a neighbors dog and a squirrel while walking with 3 dogs would be our doom, I’m sure. Gambler reminded me of the ole Tina Turner song: Rolling on the River :o) Have a super monday!
Not easy getting there, but well worth the effort, looks like an awesome romp!
Great post!!! You have your leashes all nice and rigged up for walking huh??? Nice job!
ღ husky hugz ღ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
Wow, your walks are adventurous! Rosco looks so much like Rudy that I did a doubletake! And, for sure, my three would like to go on a walk with you guys any time 🙂
We have been playing Dodge Dog on our walks and we did have a moment with a squirrel, but thankfully there was only one dog and she maintained herself. 🙂
Mom is having some trouble walking us these days because of those pesty squirrels. For Bailie they are totally new and she goes nuts which means I need to go nuts and even though the two of us only weigh about 80lbs together it is hard to hold us back. Luckily Katie doesn’t pull or we would be visiting Mom in the hospital!
Too funny. Swap that squirrel with a wallaby and you would have what happens with me & Scooter when exploring the cane fields
Squirrels are the enemy at our house too. Except they usually sit on the corner post of our deck and taunt the dogs who are on the other side of our sliding glass door. Great post.
Sounds like a wonderful walk. It is great that your water is open. Our trainer’s pond was still iced last Saturday. He felt there was still 10 or so inches on it, but it should be warm this week so maybe it will finally open. A bunch of our group is going to a hunt test in Indiana this weekend. None having been in water since last Fall!
SO much fun! Love the adventures – waterways, cats, squirrels and carcases – sounds like some good walks to me! Kayo would have a blast!
Wow – that’s a lot of mischief, but all sounds like a great adventure. That cat picture is hysterical!
It certainly looks like a good time was had by all! And I think you got your workout and then some as well, holding back 210 pounds of dogs!!
