Adopt Ginger During Adopt A Senior Pet Month

November is Adopt A Senior Pet Month. I don’t think it should be November but each month of the year. There are so many pets that are seniors that are looking for their forever homes for the time they have left. These animals are most likely house trained, know commands, spayed or neutered so there isn’t much you have to do with them besides give them lots of love.

How about giving Ginger a forever home!

Ginger Adoptable Chessie

Ginger is a 7 year old Chesapeake Bay Retriever at Chesapeake Retriever Rescue Of Wisconsin (CRROW).

What CRROW says about Ginger:

Ginger was a surrender due to health of an older owner… Although Ginger is 7, she likes to retrieve, but can also entertain herself .

Ginger is spayed, and current on her vaccines and also chipped. She is very obedient and loves to be loved. She does not get into anything in the home, but if needed is crate trained and goes in on command with no arguments whatsoever.

The ideal home for Ginger will be with someone who will take her for rides and play with her in the yard.. She LOVES the car rides and is very, very good in the car. GINGER ABSOLUTELY NEEDS TO BE THE ONLY DOG IN THE HOME. She is not a candidate for dog parks or other social events with other dogs.

Ginger is a smiler and a rooer also. She smiles a lot when something is new to her or she is happy, and roos and talks when she is excited also. She is good at the vet’s office and was great getting her nails cut at the vet and at grooming. She is a special girl.

GINGER REQUIRES A PHYSICAL FENCED YARD-NOT NEGOTIABLE. PRIVACY FENCE WOULD BE THE BEST FOR HER.

Oh, Ginger is just so sweet. I hope she finds a new home soon. I know Ma wishes she could have a Chessie now that we have read all about them here and then met one in person at our vet. They are so beautiful even as super seniors!

Poor sweet Ginger. I hate that her owner had to surrender her and I agree with you that every month is adopt a senior month. Shared her and hope she has a new loving home soon.

I think 7 can be an almost perfect age! Very mature but with a lot of good years left. Ginger sounds like a sweetie, and we hope she finds her home soon.
Lots of great stuff going on in November…thanks for sharing those other two awareness reminders as well.
